It says the service is running but I can't even connect to the server. In the
meantime I have moved the backups converted them to access and are off and running.
Now I just need to figure out what happened..... Right now I have uninstalled sql,
uninstalled mdac 2.6 and I can't use the cf admin to connect to another db on another
server. How do I get rid of my sql server odbc driver so I can reinstall it, or can
that be done.

Thanks

Are you sure that the SQL Server service is running?

Can you connect with one of the command-line SQL clients? (isql, osql)
