Kevin,
I did this a couple years ago on a Solaris system. I created the collections
using Verity SEARCH'97 and was able to register those collections in CF on
the same machine. I can't remember if I had to tweak the style files or not.
I don't think so though.

As for returning the pages I either used CFHTTP (scrapping) or sent them to
that page.

Subject: CF, Verity, and External collections

I'm interested in indexing and searching documents outside our web domain,
using "external collections" and native Verity tools, then using CFSEARCH to
retrieve the file path of search matches.

Has anyone successfully done this? If so, how?
Also, once a document file path is identified, how can the doc be retrieved
if it is outside the web domain? Using CFFTP?

Thanks,
Kevin Carlson
