I hate to sound like an echo, but we were having very similar issues a few
days before a major launch, and I spent the night moving all my session
variables to client variables and sticking them in a SQL datasource. I
haven't had a single problem since. And I never could find a good
explanation why my session variables were acting strangely. I don't know
how many variables were talking about over how many lines of code, but
client variables have worked flawlessly for us.

Joel,
I noticed the same problem and ended up reinstalling CF! I don't know
what the problem is and it seems like after a while my sessions start to
just shorten and shorten. If you find a solution please let me know.

Thanks,

Neil
