I followed the URL to the MM store mentioned in this email and got this
response:
Dynamic areas are temporarily unavailable
Home
Due to scheduled maintenance of the dynamic areas of our site, certain areas
are unavailable at this time.
These include Macromedia membership, free product trials, the Macromedia
Online Store, the Edge newsletter, the Showcase, and the Dreamweaver,
UltraDev and Flash Exchanges.
We apologize for the inconvenience and will be restoring service as soon as
possible. Meanwhile you can continue to browse the rest of our site. In
addition, you can also read about other ways to purchase Macromedia
products.

Not good, it's 9:20 pm in Colorado, if it really is "scheduled", why would
Macromedia send this email out today, with a pending planned outage, and why
not do it at 1 AM?
We'll probably never know.
