iMS is a mail server.  It doesn't require another mail server to send or receive mail. 
 We also provide a freeware w/source webmail
interface for iMS.

iMS requires ColdFusion and templates for processing (sort of how a web server uses 
ColdFusion for dynamic content processing).

One of our clients wrote some scripts to move Post.Office accounts to iMS if you are 
interested.
