Jay,

Well, thats what I get for not reading the manual. Everything I've ever heard has been
along the lines of ''buy the resource kit''.

My first try resulted in a lockup/freeze, but subsequent runs rebooted my desktop
system just fine. At first I thought it was running slower than a comparable batch
file, but when I wrote one that just reset WWW service, ftp and smtp the times for the
batch file actually came out slower.

Would certainly be a simple thing to schedule this. I may set it up to bop my server
weekly or something.

Thanks for the tip!

Matt -

Just for clarification, iisreset /reboot is a Windows 2000 native utility, that's
included with the base installation of IIS completely free, and actually works.
