If you do a search on cmd,(w2k) you can create a shortcut for your desktop.
Right click on cmd in the search and send it to your desktop..you
can also drag and drop in your toolbar ....

As has been pointed out, you can get a 32-bit command window, which
simulates a DOS prompt.
Strangely enough the MS-DOS command.com still exists in Win2k. Just go to
Start/Run and type 'command' instead of 'cmd'. You'll get the old 16-bit
DOS version. Its doubtful you'll need this. CMD.exe is much nicer to work
with and should be fully compatible, but if something just has to see a bona
fide DOS command processor (to maybe set up a larger environment or do
something similarly ancient) its there.

I am playing with the Java tutorial and it is showing how to compile the
source code. Here is my realy stupid question.
It says From the Start menu, select the MS-DOS Prompt application (Windows
95/98) or Command Prompt application (Windows NT).
How do I open MS-DOS in Windows 2000?????
