Thomas is exactly right.  I did this during my internship (to give you an
idea of how truly uncomplicated this really is) and CF did it beautifully.
We had wireless PDA's on a local network with laser scanning capabilities.
We were scanning barcodes and everything.  Our biggest issues were those
related to what the various browsers supported.  IE for the CE was the
easiest browser to work with because it supported tables, frames, js, etc.
I think that we used Spectrum for our palm OS and that didn't support basic
things like tables and js.  The only thing programming related that we had
to focus on was making the code as efficient as possible which was pretty
fun to do because that was never a major concern for us on our other apps.
We would get really excited if we trimmed a few millisecinds off of an
operation.  I loved working on those apps!
