Hello,

I'm developing an application were our computer labs can track usage and
statistics on the machines that are used in there. What I'm looking for is
this. Students check in with their ID cards and are asigned a machine. The
application then tracks who's on what machine and tracks the time, etc.
I'd like to place an agent on each machine that talks back to the
application, and when flagged, say, if the student's time is up, I can have
pop up a message telling them time's up. Kinda along the lines of the old
Novel network messaging system where you could send a message in a popup box
to any other machine on the network. Is anybody doing anything like this?
If so, what are you using for the agent on the client machines?

Thanks,
Dave
