The only thing I can think of is that I was messing around with the rules in Tiny Personal Firewall, trying to get a handle on how they worked. I deleted a couple of rules including one that was (I think) automatically set up by TPF called "DNS". I figured if it was needed, TPF would prompt me to recreate it, but it hasn't.
