I guess that's possible but I would guess that CFPOP would disconnect at some point.  
The one thing, though, is that the CF page
will continue processing even if the browser disconnects from the web server so I 
don't think that the disconnection would cause
problems.  Maybe what is happening is that the user is accessing the pop box from your 
app as well as a pop client.
