Look at the source - Yahoo is merely referencing FC, which deals in rumors - if the rumor is a year old, then that's what Yahoo is indirectly referencing - sure would be a shame if a site that ppl consider remotely credible would verify information - news in Internet time is probably the death of journalistic integrity
