In general, search engines do not work against query strings, i.e. URL containing a "?something=x". This is NOT a fault of ColdFusion. There are ways around it, none particularly simple, IMHO. The ColdFusion Developers Journal recently had an article by Ben Forta on techniques for getting around this.

I just got a call from one of their reps, and they were trying to tell me "Cold Fusion will not work with search engine spiders" because the pages are "fused together". I was ready to laugh in her face. Does anyone know of problems with CF and Search Engine spiders? She wants us to generate an alternative site that is static. ______________________________________________________________________ Get Your Own Dedicated Windows 2000 Server PIII 800 / 256 MB RAM / 40 GB HD / 20 GB MO/XFER Instant Activation $99/Month Free Setup http://www.pennyhost.com/redirect.cfm?adcode=coldfusionb FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
