The problem is that Flash imposes strict limitations on where files,
variables, etc. can be loaded from within a Flash movie. Flash can only load
external resources from the same subdomain as the movie resides in, meaning
that you would not be able to redirect requests to a different server unless
it was part of the same domain. This is done for security reasons.

Now... that being said, if you happen to own both of the server, why not map
a virtual path to the Web pages you are looking to access? The solutions for
Flash connectivity issues usually turn out to be with server configuration.

Maybe I worded it incorrectly. I think what he is attempting is a
e-commerce site in which once you decide to go to the cart, the it
would redirect to a different server for the e-commerce portion.
The sfw would be the same, but the dynamic portion of it would be
hosted on a different server running coldfusion etc. I have been
to sites where you click on alink and get a message that you are
being redirected to another site and it asks you if you want to
proceed. I think this is what he is getting at.
