Well, Linux is a bit like the old soviet Empire... it looks likes it's leaps and bounds ahead of everything from a distance, but internally everything's in a mild state of chaos and the tech is all several years old. :) I have no idea what the current thread model for CF is under solaris/linux but you would hold it would be better and more robust than something all the hacker-type kids are churning out in their basements.
