Actually, four of them are brand new, but who's counting. :-)

I know people refer to them as "Forta books", and I am grateful for that
association and recognition, but the fact is that others deserve credit
too, and I do make a point of regularly stating that. The "ColdFusion 5
Construction Kit" book, for examples, lists Nate Weiss as my coauthor
(as opposed to a contributing author) because he wrote as much as I did
(we split most of the title between the two of us).

I do not write them all, there is no way I could. Some books I have
written completely, others I only design and edit, and yet others I plan
and write parts of and rely on co-authors for the rest of the content
(most are in this final category). I still do write though (and should
be doing so right now instead of reading cf-talk), and ironically I did
indeed write a major portion of the title that Amazon.com calls me
editor of. :-)

: smile: Because he wrote the first one?
Or is it because that his name sells books (and there is no reason to
perpetuate the image that he isn't doing the direct writing much
anymore). He has (if memory serves me) six books coming out within the
span of three months. Two of them are brand new.
