I think I understand the confusion here - it's not that we don't like
the Site functionality, but quite a few of us work with a whole range of
servers, and several completely different sites on each server...

Now, in Studio, if you want to update one template you open up the RDS
connection in the tab on the left, find the file, open it, make the
update and save - job done in about a minute

In DWMX, you have to connect to the server, find the location, wait for
it to build a "Site" with all of the templates, graphics, colors, blah
blah blah, then find the file, edit it and save it... You've added about
5 minutes to your quick job

OK, so next time you come in, it's happily there already, but it's an
awful lot of extra work just to update one bit of code

While were on the subject of DWMX's Site functionality - the Image list
is a PITA! We have a lot of graphics with the same name, all in
different directories (denoting what they are, like thumbnail, medium
quality, high quality etc.), but in the Site list you get just the file
names and have to scroll right to find out what it is... In Studio you
could find the directory you wanted and then find the file

Some of my projects run into thousands of graphics (most are named the
same over and over), I REALLY don't want to have to wade through the
folder to add one graphic where I know it's location

Also, in an environment with 5 developers and 3 graphic artists, they're
all adding templates and images constantly - do I have to keep on
refreshing the Site to get the latest list? In Studio, you just refresh
the directory...
