Well I'm NOT going to pipe you the 50 some pages that got me chasing my tail, but I'll tell you that if you use the fact the any user can attempt to connect to LDAP, and if they succeed that this is in itself validation. >From there search for attributes describing the groups they are in. Then you can allow/disallow based on the groups.
