I'd be very surprised if that worked - IP spoofing is a bit more complex than that, and you can't do it through the HTTP protocol. That CGI variable is determined by the IP stack of the host to which you're connecting, and if you were able to "spoof" that value, the host would respond to that IP address instead of yours! The only CGI variables that you can affect from the client are those which begin with the prefix "HTTP_".
