Just to keep those interested in CFMX on Mac OS X current.

In spite of a lot of help from Jesse Noller of MM and I have been too
dumb to see the obvious.

I couldn't get the db connections to work, cause the program that
launches the db process is written in C++ intel and won't run on the Mac.

Then Sean Corfield (also of MM, but not on this list) told me that a
friend han taken my Linux-OSX port, installed it and was up and running
with a simple CFMX/MySQL app on OS X.... He said the CFMX MySQL drivers
work "out of the box"

Hmmm... I have MySQL installed.

Through the administrator, I set up a connection to the MySQL db

Didn't work

I hadn't started the MySQL server..... Duh!

Did that.......... Bingo!

So, The standalone CFMX samples won't run 'cause I haven't started the
PointBase server..... Duh!

Right now, I am going to watch the Laker pregame and game.

Later. I'll post some more info, then poke around to see if I can get
PointBase and the samples running.

This makes me feel pretty confident that you should be able to get most
of the important CF services running under US X...

Verity is a no. no... written in C++ intel.
