If you're able to get a connection to or through your proxy server with Netscape, you're not using NTLM Authentication. Netscape doesn't support NTLM Authentication. Only IE supports it. What you do have, by the looks of it, is a server running IIS. All IIS logins require an actual NT user account, with domain and username, although you can configure IIS to use a specific domain as the default. If you're using the MS proxy server, I imagine it uses IIS, but you don't have to configure it to force NTLM Authentication.
