Hi all, Server A is posting XML data to server B
A DTD exists for the incoming data that is available on Server B or can be passed to Server A to use prior to posting. Am I correct in that it would be best to have the XML validated on Server A by the DTD file prior to posting either by referring to the DTD by looking at the one on server B or by having a local copy. As server A is client and Server B is us and there could be many server As this would suit us best. If Server B is responsible for validating the Data after receipt it is not clear to me how using any of the tools we have to catch this using CF. Sorry for basic questions. Can someone share convention and best practice. On the subject of Tools I am finding that XML Spy is quite good and probably very good for very large or complex XML Documents it has tree and text views which you can edit but there does appear to be a proper manual just help files. I would prefer a proper manual with chapters and Index although I may have missed it. Thanks for all the suggestions.
