If you've got IE6 and you don't mind using M$, then here's a free XML validator
http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/samples/internet/xml/xml_validator/default.asp Just open the appropriate .htm file using IE in order to run it. It uses IE's built-in MSXML capabilities.
