Barry AFAIK the camera Adobe were giving out at webDU, the QuickCam for Notebooks, isn't OS X compatible. You need to go to the QuickCam for Notebooks Pro (I have the older version, there's a new one) to work with OS X.
After that, you need to get iChatUSBCam (http://www.ecamm.com/) for it to work with iChat. Don't know about any other apps.
