Well I managed to do it, but not the way I
wanted. Basically a looping function that does some database checking while my
main function is running Very much no the way I wanted it to work
but looks like unless I am using media server to control the flow of
information it’s the only way I could get it to work. It would be great
if it would work like an instance and you could get info out of the connection,
much like the way cfcs work with cf. I don’t see why it cant though. There
must be some way for the remoting server to be able to handle that From: As far as i'm aware this is not possible. Every time you make a call from the client you basically instantiate a
new instance of the service and set its handlers. Unless the you are making a call that returns a huge amount of
data i dont think a percentage loader is necessary. Most of the time you should
be able to get away with some sort of "busy" or "loading"
animation. Although if you manage to make a break through in this area i would be
very interested to find out. Bjorn
