Try Start > All Programs > Microsoft SQLServer 2005 > Configuration tools > SQL Server Configuration Manager
In that tool open SQL Native CLient Configuratoin > Aliases.
There you'll see all teh different aliases you've set up for the connections you mak. In the Parameters column, is normally nothing, but if you bdouble-click in it , you get a dialog box that sets the parameters for that alias. The port field is normally blank for the default, which is to dynamically allocate ports. But you can specify a port there and it'll always try to use that.
Disclaimer: every time i do anything with a Microsoft product, the bit i'm looking for never seems to be where it was last time I looked, so this might be the same. YMMV
