If you're considering Viruozzo VPS (or... what are they called now.. "Parallels containers") on windows, our experience running Coldfusion inside it wasn't the best. Also, there are two more things to consider - you'll have to manage the VPS yourself + quite likely you'll have to provide your own CF8 license or pay extra for it.. (as CF8 licensing is per install, not per physical CPU on the server). My suggestion would be to call your hosting company and ask to put the account on a less populated server (for a few extra dollars).
