Yes apparently - I haven't been able to test it myself, but I asked
the guys in the office to test it by changing it back to HTTP 1.0 as
described here:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=161109&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

But they claim it didn't help. I will try and access a machine later
to check for myself.

It's definitely related to their office network configuration, because
it doesn't make any difference to me whether I use 1.1 or 1.0
remotely.
