Thanks all of you.

Finally it has been resolved. To summarize this is what I have done.

-> Set the page encoding tag to UTF-8 in the CF code for template
generating PDF
-> Installed Asian Languages from Control Panel >> Regional Languages
and Options (Languages tab).
-> Deleted two font files from Control Panel >> Fonts as per
recommended by Adobe & restarted the computer.
     1) MingLiu.ttc   2) SimSun.ttc
