you don't get arrested for not wearing shoes on your way to the venue. 
unfortunately, some convention centres, and some gate guards, will stop
you coming in without shoes on.  once inside you can usually go back to
bare feet without getting in any trouble.

trying to get the tram into the city without any pants *will *get you in
trouble.
i reckon you could make it there without a shirt though, if it's a nice
day and you're coming from a beachy suburb.

i'll be the guy without the shoes.
