Cant you just work out what the next level is when you do your processing from the form submittion?
 
If you dont want to, I would create a hidden form field and use an onChange event handeler to trigger a _javascript_ function to populate the hidden field.
 
you would have to create the array to populate the field though.

But I would like the lower levels to be hidden from the user but still pass the values. Make sense...?
Believe it or not there is a method to my madness I just need to figure out the method.
 
i.e.
 
Level 1
    Level 1.1 (hidden)
    Level 1.2 (hidden)
etc etc etc
 
I need to think of a better way of sending multiple variables via a form....then do an action after that for each sub variable sent.....
oh boy...I think I need to rethink this...

I have an idea and I'm not sure how to go about it. Or even if it is possible.
 
1. I have a form and a drop down list containing a list.
2. now in this group there could be a number of variables within it.
 
Example:
Var 1
Var 2
Var 3
--------
Var 4 (Group) (with a single value)
 
Now when Var 4 is passed there is a list within it
Example:
Var 4
    var 1
    var 2
    var 3
 
I'm thinking of using array to list function but has anyone come across doing such a wild and crazy coding.
