nonononon all the select box would display in my example is the

then the data would eb pulled frmo the structure at the other end. In
"real life" what you're going to have is something like this:

then your select list will display the following options:

Beanbag
You then extract the data using their selection, for
instance if the customer selects "Teddy" the literal translation of
the code would be:
<cfset customerChoice = session.stProds["Teddy"]>
which would be equal to the value from the structure, which is
"Teddy".
No if the customer chose the magic product number three (the Trilogy)
the literal code translation would look like this:
<cfset customerChoice = session.stProds["Trilogy"]>
but the result variable customerChoice would be equal to
"book1,book2,book3"
make sense?
