KHTML is the rendering engine for Konqueror. It's not quite as perfect as Gecko but should be pretty good (from what I recall from my pre-Mozilla days). It also means that you don't need to support another browser. If something renders right in Konqueror, it will render right in Safari. Besides, KHTML is an open source engine, so if something doesn't render right, you could report it as a bug to the KDE people and actually expect something being done about it.
