It runs fine. The only proviso is that you have to make sure you get
the right version of Apache.

If you're running straight CFMX, you can get a patch to run Apache
2.0.39  (http://www.macromedia.com/v1/handlers/index.cfm?ID=23162)

If you install the updater 2, you need to run Apache 2.0.40 (I think.
Check the tech notes).

We've been running CF under Apache since Ver 4 days. It's lightweight,
fast, and easy to configure. And a lot more secure than other webservers
I could mention.

Installing Apache takes a couple of minutes, tops. Setting it up
doesn't take much longer once you're familiar with the configs.
