Have to say I totally disagree with this. Most of the issues with Oracle are totally unrelated to CFMX. They are mainly due to the JDBC Drivers that shipped with CFMX from DataDirect... and in many instances only affect people doing specific types of activity.

Using a driver from Oracle itself... well you kind of hope that Oracle can sort out their own connectivity issues. Just using the ODBC/JDBC bridge is kinda like saying that Oracle doesn't work with Java -- clearly Oracle is likely to work better with Java than anything else these days.
