Craig,
>From this error, looks like it can't find your .cfc??
"Error : Service threw an exception during method invocation: No service
named mydirectory.components.mymodule is known to Flash Remoting"
In your actionscript you've probably got or something similar (in red bold):
// Make the Gateway connection
NetServices.setDefaultGatewayUrl(" <http://myserver/flashservices/gateway>
http://myserver/flashservices/gateway");
gatewayConnnection = NetServices.createGatewayConnection();
var SomeVar =
gatewayConnnection.getService("mydirectory.components.mymodule", this);
mymodule.DoAction();
Change/move it so that flash can view this directory, so if you've got your
.cfc in this directory (using your example it should look like):
C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot\mydirectory\components\mymodule.cfc
Not sure if this is same filepath in Linux box???

Hi Craig,
The Flash Services url should be <http://myserver/flashservices/gateway>
http://myserver/flashservices/gateway
This threw me the first time I tried it. It does work on linux though.
Also make sure that your component is set to remote access which you can
check through the CFMX component explorer which should be
<http://myserver/CFIDE/componentutils/componentdoc.cfm>
http://myserver/CFIDE/componentutils/componentdoc.cfm
hope this helps, cause I am still working it out myself...
Cheers,
Mark

Hi,
Recently built a flash remoting module using CF and just uploaded it
to our linux server. However I am getting the following error:
Error : Service threw an exception during method invocation: No service
named mydirectory.components.mymodule is known to Flash Remoting.
Now the only thing to my knowledge that has been installed on the server is
CFMX, do we need to install anything else(eg originally thought the
remoting components where just for dev and the swf was capable of running
with the player and CFMX?) and if so PLEASE tell me they run on linux?
If its any help <http://myserver/flashservices/>
http://myserver/flashservices/ results in a blank page and
no error?
Appreciate any help, sorry if its a silly question and I need to install
something else!
Cheers
Craig
