Hey thanks guy, I just cracked it. I never knew about the component browser (that looks like administrator), it just appears when you browse to the location of the component on the server eg. http://localhost/site/components/somecomponent.cfc cool!

Actually it was the path thing and was a real stupid issue as suggested, I just started panicking that it wouldn't run on linux! Basically I had forgot to add "beta." to the front of my path as I forgot it wasn't in the root directory but in our beta directory - doh! Simple fix but thanks guys.

Does anyone know when flash comm server is going to be released for linux?

really want to start using this thing!

Believe it or not the blank page when you browse to the gateway is a good sign, that means that it's correctly configured.

As Matt says the problem is the address you've specified for the cfc is probably wrong. The sure-fire way of getting the address correct is to browse to the cfc which causes CFMX to introspect it and show it's documentation.

At the top of that page the very first line of code is the address - you should use that, I generally just copy and paste it into my Flash code.

Hi,
Recently built a flash remoting module using CF and just uploaded it to our linux server. However I am getting the following error:
Error : Service threw an exception during method invocation: No service named mydirectory.components.mymodule is known to Flash Remoting.
Now the only thing to my knowledge that has been installed on the server is CFMX, do we need to install anything else(eg originally thought the remoting components where just for dev and the swf was capable of running with the player and CFMX?) and if so PLEASE tell me they run on linux?
If its any help http://myserver/flashservices/ results in a blank page and no error?
Appreciate any help, sorry if its a silly question and I need to install something else!
Cheers
Craig
