I have actually asked Geoff about connecting to the news lists remotely and
be able to query it externally as I wanted to be able to search it from my
cfcetral.com.au site.

No such luck apparently, allthough still working on it.

I will be posting alot of CFUG info on my site, and any other groups who
wish to put some info on there are most welcome to also.

actually I'd agree with that - it depends of course on the list
controllers and on the people on the list being happy enough with it
but I much enjoy the facility cf-talk etc use
([EMAIL PROTECTED] for an example) - it's
dead simple, very quick to find what you're looking for and easy to
read. I find the interface on the cfaussie lists pretty kludgy...

It also (as Mark spoke about) makes the posts visible to google, which
more than once has helped me quickly find an answer.

just a thought.
