I was joking about the lawyers but seriously that's bad customer service. The files are sitting there and even though you are leaving & your account is officially closed its got to be worthwhile having someone in there spending 2 minutes zipping the files & emailing them or putting them up for download. That sort of stuff is just good karma and the reason why I avoid some of the larger hosting companies like the plague.
One thing to watch with teleport is that if it can't get a file it'll write in some js alerts saying "teleport pro could not find this file". Do a site wide search for teleport to make sure it hasn't mangled anything.
