I think this is probably the easiest way to add multiple datasources in MX.

 

You could even do it using CFHTTP and send the admin cookie using cfhttpparam.

I guess if you have control over the CF admin, you could switch off the login for the adminitrator and do a post to the dsn script of the administrator
