Untill somebody writes an interface that integrates with
my mp3 playlist and either takes music that I actually like from my playlist, or
just buggers off if I have music playing then all embedded sound will remain the
source of all evil in application interfaces.
Movies and Games (IE Zhao Zhao Stick Figure of Death
style) are the only places that sound is ever a good thing, and even then it
needs to have an off option.
There's NOTHING worse then having a heavy death metal
playlist running through your amp and suddenly getting a shit midi version
of bloody mozart or madonna or something playing that you can't turn off,
and you can't filter out. Especially when you've got the volume up at the ' You
mow the lawn at 6:30 inthe morning? I code at 2 in the morning' , and your half
asleep, and Metallica - King Nothing comes on, and right in the middle of
'Where's Your Crown' bad midi crap starts blaring at full volume.
Anybody who embeds sound that you cant disable in one
click or less deserves to be shot. Anybody who uses crap midi's under any
circumstances deserves to be neutered. The sole exception to this would be if
your client forced you to use them, and then they deserve to be neutered and you
deserve to be beaten for accepting it.
...
Not that it annoys me or anything.
