I feel like I'm starting to get Catty about the MM page, but FFS. After turning on plain html accessibility options, I've browsed to the appropriate doodats and found the download link, on clicking it, its selected 'please download flash' ... but I'm using the plain HTML accessibility options? piss off, give it to me in html. grrrr.
Oh... wait, I'm using opera, here's a link to the IE download page - grrrr. So after firing up IE (grrrr) and browsing back, before I can download it, I need to volunteer my email address? WHY? piss off! What? Please sign up for notification about future CFMX releases? sure! why the hell not, I've signed up for it at least a dozen times already and not gotten an email back yet apart from the confirmations. I'd be more upset about the collecting my email for spam purposes. But since I've been using an email address with macromedia in it (nomacromediaspam@ it seems that I don't get any email returned from MM... I'm wondering if there's a regex that fitlers out spam catchers? Or if they just never send bloody emails about updaters. Ahh! 3 rants, two f$(kits and a cranky geek later, the download starts... grrrr... I dunno, I just don't like this interface. Too much 'oooh purdy' not enough 'useful'. Far too many clicks, far too much personal information, and far too much client configuration requirement to be good. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Gilbert" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CFAussie Mailing List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, March 20, 2003 10:08 AM Subject: [cfaussie] RE: CFMX Updater 3 Released > Take that back...
