If it is forking, then I assume the process you actually call returns before the forked process has output anything (possibly even before the other process runs).

This may definitely be part of the problem.

What you should do is test this theory by creating a small script that you <CFEXECUTE> that just outputs something and doesn't do any forking.

If this works perfectly fine, then create another script that DOES fork - but calls the original test program you wrote.

You then may find you have proved that forking doesn't work.

Alternately, you may find it DOES work - and then you are faced with possible problems in the scripting.
