Crystal's formatting gets shot to pieces if you
output as HTML.
To preserve formatting, it either needs to be
through the active-x plugin, or PDF.
I have always gone through the active-x
control.

Subject: [cfaussie] Re: Crystal Reports
and security - no answer - but further questions
Maybe I should explain what I
am trying to do first (because I think this is - or should be - fairly basic
to this whole CR/CF thing).....
I
just want to be able to create some reports, call up the report using
<CFREPORT> and output HTML to the browser.
I dont really need or want any fancy plug-in things to
view the report, I dont need it converted into PDF (trying to get away from
that if possible).
I just need the
report to come up in my HTML template at the point at which the
<CFREPORT> tag is.
If this
is not possible, then someone can tell me now and I wont waste any more time
on it.
I think it should be
possible.
I am using CFMX.
Is CR 8.0 the right thing to be using to create the reports or should I
have a different version? Do those of you who DO use it and have it
working think what I want to do is possible?
