Thanks Andrew,

The service is already up and running and they are already doing it. I've inherited the site and am in the process of implementing a 'reskinning' it (though it seems to have turned into a 'redesign'!).

The short story is that the account they are already operating is $AU and they don't want to change it. But I'll keep it mind for next time.

Thanks again,

Brett

Why can't he just bank/transact in USD and convert to AUD when the exchange rate is in his favour, I think Citibank or HSB will do USD accounts...

Hi,

I have a client who is charging for a service and collecting payments over the web. The problem I have, and it may not be a problem, is that he wants to show the prices in US$ but collect the money in $AU. I'm not looking for legal advice, but has anyone had a similar experience? Can we do it this way? I assume we would need to use a currency conversion service to get the (approximate) AU$ value at the time of the 'sale'. Can anyone recommend one?

Sorry if this is OT but I thought it was relevant and probably of interest to most people on the list...

Regards and thanks,

Brett
