Certainly a CF solution would be far better than forcing developers to
resort to other languages.

You would think that some MM bod would take the time to translate the
Crystal ASP code to CF, and make it readily available. Otherwise some weak
minded individuals who were forced into using ASP could mistakenly decide
ASP was a better alternative, and MM would lose market share...
