In a similar vein, I do this to put admin or internal/special uses files in
these folders.

For me it doesn't do anything except make it easier to use for humans

sure (a bit redundant really)

I've also been known to go nuts and have

__folderA
__folderB
__folderC
_folderAA 
_folderAA
_folderCC

but you should see my file system for my music!

often you do this to categorise certain files (as they all appear in the
same place in the file listing, regardless of the first letter)

place use underscored filenames, e.g. _filename.cfm. What reason would
