I do the same thing, but it ocurred to me over the weekend that it would
also be a good way to define a "system file" that is only used as in
include within another template, e.g. a configuration file parser, etc. 

I guess its just personal preference.

I generally do this to indicate that this is a file that is only
temporary and will be deleted.

Someone I worked with once many moons ago did this and it seemed kinda
logical.
