I've trawled MSDN and Google for this one, but the lack of error messages makes it tricky to know what to search under.
I'm looking for ideas of where to look or post questions about the following situation. We have a bit over 20 users on a system of mainly NT machines (with some 2000) connected to a 2000 server. Users become unable to print, more or less at random, and generally without any error message. In most cases, resetting the machine which acts as a print server enables the user to print again. This event has happened up to half a dozen times a day and, most frustratingly, sometimes more than once a day to the same user. We've tried a number of things, but the character of the problem seems to remain pretty much the same, and has been occurring for a number of months. We're pretty certain it's either a network or config issue. Changing the way the machines are set up (e.g. putting all machines onto 2000) is not an option in the short term, and we're hoping to address it in the longer term. What could be going on ? What forums might be suitable to trawl or pose such a question in ? I'm looking through comp.periphs.printers , but the issues seem mainly related to "proper" printer issues (i.e. issues with the printers themselves). --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MX Downunder AsiaPac DevCon - http://mxdu.com/
