I'd like to temper this active push to a high-tech solution:
right tool for the job.
sometimes you don't need to crack walnuts with a sledge-hammer. We already
have OTT projects that lose the reason for existance. sometimes good ol'
HTML is just the ticket. Project requirements, perhaps?
cool NEQ "must do"
It would be a real shame if every man and their beagle built RIA's just
because of the technology. Lots of crap sites giving RIA a bad name. It
slowed down Flash before - it can still happen.
A case in point - XML: hyped up to the max. People built whole websites with
it - from data store to presentation. But it was still a solution looking
for a problem. Now it's a specialist solution perfect for some jobs - and
pointless in others.
food for thought?
cheers

Thanks Brian for your input - I will definitely investigate that option,
especially after looking at sites like nyse marketrac!

I would look at Flash and Flash remoting. As Robyn said in an earlier post
IRA (Internet Rich applications) are the way of the future.
But that's just my view.

Subject: [cfaussie] CF and realted courses
Hi all,
I am currently working towards sitting my CF certified developers exam and
am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to courses or accreditation that
would help to gain employment in the web development field, on top of the
cf certification - there is so much out there! Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
David
